Learn how you can make a major contribution toward reducing the toll of the opioid crisis in Kentucky. New Vista is presenting several free trainings throughout Central Kentucky for physicians, dentists, nurses, law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical technicians and the greater community.
The opioid crisis continues to be a major health problem in the United States. Kentucky has been particularly hard hit by opioid overdose. Overdose deaths in the United States have reached 175 per day.
The training uses Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) approved evidence-based materials and the most up-to-date recommendations from the Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health. Continuing Education Credits are available for prescribers.
New Vista partnered with local health departments, law enforcement, hospitals, local Agency for Substance Abuse Policy boards to present this opportunity to Central Kentucky. Funding is provided by the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services
