Kentucky’s Early Intervention System – Birth to Age 3

Kentucky’s Early Intervention System serves children from birth to age three who have a developmental delay or a medical condition known to cause a delay. New Vista provides services for children who live in our 17-county service area. Staff provide screening and determine eligibility for services as well as coordinate services for families. Services are provided in the child’s natural environment either at home, daycare or in the community. Parents and caregivers have the opportunity to learn and continue activities to promote child development.

Child Evaluation Specialists

      • Review initial screenings to determine if a child has a potential delay and is appropriate for further evaluation.

      • Complete evaluations and assessments of children that are used along with other records to determine eligibility and plan a program of services.

    Service Coordinators

        • Guide families through the Kentucky’s Early Intervention System program.

        • Coordinate developmental evaluations and gather other records used to determine eligibility.

        • Assist families to obtain on-going services for eligible children.

        • Assist families in locating other community resources for additional help for the family.
