Let Go of Fear. Make a Change. Enter Recovery.

If you, or someone you love, suffers from addiction, reaching out for help is not always easy. But when you’re ready to reach out, New Vista Recovery Services for Women is here.
New Vista Recovery Services for Women works with pregnant women and mothers to achieve recovery from substance use. New Vista collaborates with hospitals, physicians, social service and community agencies to help women receive the treatment they need.
The goal is to ensure all women and their families receive treatment for addiction with as few delays as possible. The Recovery Services for Women uses evidence-based practices and a person-centered approach. New Vista offers a range of treatment services, based on the needs of the individual and believes women can achieve recovery and build a strong and stable foundation for their families.
New Vista Recovery Services for Women treatment practices are proven to be effective at setting individuals on the path to recovery. The program maintains the highest standards, is licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and accredited by The Joint Commission. The community-based program provides treatment at every step along the journey to recovery. The continuum of services we offer in Central Kentucky includes:
Peer Support. Mentoring clients and promoting hope and empowerment, our peer support specialist has experienced the same situation as women in treatment and achieved recovery. With understanding and respect for the client, peer support assists with decision making in the delivery of treatment.
Case Management assists women with meeting employment and education goals. Case managers provide advocacy services on behalf of clients and aid clients in finding services and support they need to create the best outcome for themselves and their babies.
Therapy offers counseling, treatment planning and assessment services. Therapists offer individualized and skill-building therapy to address the health of the whole person.
Residential Treatment provides short-term treatment in a non-judgmental environment free of distractions of everyday life. Women can bring up to two children under the age of 2 with them to residential treatment. Through daily schedules, women develop healthy habits necessary to be successful when they return to their community.
Medication Assisted Treatment works with women to stabilize their lives with the use of medication, typically Methadone and Buprenorphine, also known as Suboxone. Since 1975, New Vista has provided successful therapy and medication treatment for opioid and heroin use.
Intensive Outpatient Treatment centers around group therapy that meets three times per week for three hours for a total of six weeks. This treatment continues to support each woman with skill building, relapse prevention and coping strategies for everyday stress triggers.
Psychiatry gives women access to highly trained physicians specializing in health and substance use treatment. Psychiatrists ensure addiction treatment and related mental and physical health issues are addressed to maintain overall good health.
Walk-In Clinic
Every weekday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. New Vista holds a walk-in clinic at 201 Mechanic Street, Lexington. Individuals can get started with treatment the same day. Family members and loved ones can get answers to their questions. A peer support specialist, a person who has achieved recovery from addiction, is available to talk to you.
