New Vista Behavioral Healthcare offers residential supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Residential supports are provided 24 hours a day in two different settings, Staffed Residences and Family Home Providers. New Vista designs services to support individuals in becoming more independent by encouraging personal growth and development as well as increasing involvement in the community.
New Vista maintains 34 residences in the Somerset area. Individuals receive person-centered, 24 hour supports in a community-based home. Each individual has a private bedroom and shares the common living spaces in the home with no more than two housemates. Our dedicated Direct Support Professionals provide assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and assisting with the self-administration of medications.
Family Home Providers
Individuals living with one of 26 Family Home Providers contracted with New Vista receive up to 24 hour supports in a family setting. Each individual has a private bedroom and shares the common living spaces with the family home provider and, if applicable, the family home provider’s family members. Family Home Providers are responsible for providing assistance with activities of daily living, transporting individuals to and from medical appointments and ensuring that the daily routine and valued traditions of the individual in their care are incorporated into their own.
